The Mulvane High School Track & Field team hosted their one and only home track meet this past Friday and celebrated senior night as well, recognizing six seniors, Chris Dietrich, Andy Huynh, Theron Garcia, Reagan Sparks, Brooklyn Loveless, and Eden Conrad. The Wildcats finished the meet with 18 medals (3 golds, 8 silvers, and 7 bronze).
Dacia Root finished in 1st place in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 1:00.52 The girl's 4x100 meter relay team of Dacia Root, Elle Everhart, Jaida Gerber, and Reagan Sparks finished in 1st place with a time of 56.22. The boys 4x400 meter relay team of Chris Dietrich, Lane Rogers, Jacob Wilson, and Hunter Landis grabbed the gold with a time of 3:47.79.
Reagan Sparks finished in 2nd place in the 800-meter run with a time of 3:03.31. Dacia Root grabbed the silver in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 21.13. The girls 4x400 meter relay time of Dacie Root, Elle Everhart, Jaida Gerber, and Reagan Sparks finished in 2nd place with a time of 5:35.19. Hallacy Miller took 2nd place in the javelin with a throw of 85 feet 2 inches.
Hunter Landis finished in 2nd place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.3. Jacob Wilson grabbed the silver in the 1600-meter run with a time of 4:54.27. Kurtis Caruthers finished in 2nd place in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 19.27. The boys 4x800 meter relay team of Matthew Eggleston, Lane Rogers, Johnathan Wilson, and Chris Dietrich took 2nd place with a time of 9:36.65.
Jaida Gerber finished in 3rd place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.12. McKenzie Storment grabbed the bronze in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 22.49 and she also finished in 3rd place in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.88.
Hunter Landis finished in 3rd place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.88. Hunter Heckart grabbed the bronze in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.68. The 4x100 meter relay team of Hunter Heckart, Lane Rogers, Kurtis Caruthers, and Hunter Landis finished in 3rd place with a time of 47.97. Gavin Young took 3rd place in the javelin with a throw of 124 feet 7 inches.
