The Mulvane Middle School basketball girls traveled to Rose Hill yesterday for their second matchup with the Rockets this season and the last games before the Thanksgiving break. The 7A team, who held Rose Hill scoreless last time, once again jumped out to a quick 18-5 lead at halftime and allowed only 2 points in the second half for the 32-7 win. Brae Heckathorn led the Wildcats with 10 points on the evening.
The 8A girls had trouble getting the buckets to fall in the first quarter and went into halftime down 7-14. The Cats were competitive with the Rockets in the second half but couldn't make up the difference, falling 18-28. Braylinn Curtis had a great game and scored 16 of the 18 points for the Wildcats.

The 7B team dominated the first three quarters of the game, outscoring the Rockets 42-8 going into the 4th quarter and the Cats coasted to the 42-12 win. Addilyn Williams led the Cats with 10 points on the evening and Maddy Murray and Emily Davis both dropped in 8 points each for the Cats. There was no 8B game.

The 7th-grade girls are still both undefeated for the season and the 8A girls are sitting at 1-7 on the season. The girls will be off this week for Thanksgiving and will be back in action next Monday, November 28th for a make-up game against Ark City at home.
