The Mulvane Middle School football teams hosted their final home game last Thursday, October 6th for a Patriot League matchup against Wellington. The 7th-grade boys faced an undefeated Wellington team and found themselves down 0-18 at halftime, which was pretty good for the Cats considering the previous outings by Wellington. "We came up against a great Wellington team," said Coach Beikman. "We knew that we would have to play our best game of the year to have a chance to win. Our defense played well and held them to a season-low 18 first-half points. We just could not find a way to get the ball into the endzone." The Wildcats scored in the fourth quarter with a 43-yard run by Keaton Grizzle.
