"We had a young team this year; Layne Merchant was the only player that had any previous experience playing in Varsity tournaments," siad Coach Kyle Headrick. "The team was able to get a lot of great experience and they were able to figure out what to work on to improve for next year. Layne Merchant, our only senior, was a great leader for the team. He always had a positive attitude and was quick to offer encouragement to his teammates."
"Gabe Young, Jaydon Grube, and Peyton Rees moved up this year to Varsity and they got a lot of great experience. Our players new to the team consisted of Tristan Gardinier, Joseph Cervantes, Dagan Dannels, Camdyn Maltbie, and Dylan Paul. Tristan, Joseph, Dagan, and Camdyn mostly played JV, but they were able to rotate in to get a few Varsity tournaments under their belts. Dylan Paul had a great freshman year on our golf team. He was our best scoring player at 5 of the Varsity tournaments. Also, he qualified for and competed at the 4A State Boys Golf tournament, where he shot a career-best of 100," said Coach Headrick.
