The Wildcats sweep Wellington in the final regular season games, freshman Fevurly with the no-no in game 1.

The Mulvane baseball team finished out their regular season last week with doubleheaders against the Buhler Crusaders and the Wellington Crusaders. The Cats fell to Buhler but swept Wellington to end out their season with two more league wins. The Cats finished the regular season with a 10-8 record and 6-4 in league play, grabbing 2nd place in the AVCTL D4 league standings behind Collegiate.

In game 1 versus Wellington on Wednesday, May 11th, freshman Nolan Fevurly made the start for the Wildcats and recorded the first no-hitter of the season for the Wildcats and the first of his varsity career. He tossed all 7 innings, giving up zero hits, one (un)earned run, walked three, and had six strikeouts as the Cats won 6-1.

The Wildcats collected 10 hits in the game. Mason Ellis, Hunter Seier, Parker Richardson, Brayden Tatum, Ian Comer, Garrett Olson, and Trenton Davis each collected hits in the game for Mulvane. Hunter Seier, Parker Richardson, and Ian Comer all had 2 hits to lead the Wildcats. Mason Ellis had 1 home run in the game.

The Wildcats had 5 RBIs in the game. Mason Ellis, Parker Richardson, and Ian Comer each collected RBIs for Mulvane. Mason Ellis, and Parker Richardson all had 2 RBIs to lead the Wildcats.

The Wildcats stole 1 base during the game with Brayden Tatum grabbing the only stolen base.

In game two versus Wellington, the Cats dropped in two runs in the second inning and three runs in the third and held on for the 5-3 win.

Seier earned the win for the Wildcats. He tossed six innings, giving up two runs, four hits, walking two, and had eleven strikeouts.

Mulvane grabbed 5 hits in the game. Parker Richardson, Brayden Tatum, Hunter Seier, and Mason Ellis each grabbed hits in the game for the Wildcats. Parker Richardson went 2-for- 3 at the plate to lead the Wildcats in hits.

Mulvane had 4 RBIs in the game. Parker Richardson, Brayden Tatum, and Mason Ellis each grabbed RBIs for the Wildcats. Mason Ellis knocked in 2 runners to lead the Wildcats in RBIs.

The Cats stole 2 bases during the game with Hunter Seier and Ian Comer both recording stolen bases.

The Cats traveled to Buhler last Monday, May 9th for a non-league matchup against the Crusaders, who hit the ball really well in the doubleheader as the Cats fell 8-18 and 4-12. The Cats led in game 1 until the 4th inning when the Crusaders were able to cross 4, 5, and 6 runs in the final three innings.

Hunter Seier toed the rubber for Mulvane Wildcats Varsity. The righthander lasted two innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out three. Brayden Tatum, Cooper Schmidt, Tyke Creekmore, and Parker Richardson each entered the game as relief, throwing two innings, one inning, one-third of an inning, and one-third of an inning respectively.

The Cats collected 15 hits in the game. Mason Ellis, Ian Comer, Keaton Herd, Hunter Seier, Trenton Davis, Cooper Schmidt, and Garrett Olson each collected hits in the game for the Mulvane Wildcats. Mason Ellis went 4-for- 4 at the plate to lead the Mulvane Wildcats in hits. Mason Ellis had 1 home run in the game.

The Cats grabbed 9 RBIs in the game. Mason Ellis, Ian Comer, Hunter Seier, Garrett Olson, and Brayden Tatum each collected RBIs for the Mulvane Wildcats. Mason Ellis, and Ian Comer all had 3 RBIs to lead the Cats.

The Cats stole 1 base during the game with Ian Comer grabbing the only stolen base.

In game 2, the Wildcats had one big inning in the 5th, but were unable to catch the Crusaders as they fell 4-12. 

Nolan Fevurly led things off on the pitcher's mound for Mulvane Wildcats Varsity. The hurler allowed three hits and three runs over two innings, striking out one. Julien Myers, Mason Ellis, and Chase Dieker each contributed in relief for Wildcats.

The Cats grabbed 8 hits in the game. Brayden Tatum, Trenton Davis, Garrett Olson, Ian Comer, Parker Richardson, Hunter Seier, and Mason Ellis each grabbed hits in the game for the Wildcats. Brayden Tatum went 2-for- 3 at the plate to lead the Cats in hits.

The Cats had 3 RBIs in the game. Garrett Olson and Hunter Seier both grabbed the only RBIs for Mulvane. Hunter Seier knocked in 2 runners to lead the Cats in RBIs.

Mulvane stole 2 bases during the game with Brayden Tatum and Trenton Davis both recording stolen bases.
