The baseball team swept the Winfield Vikings and Split with the Rose Hill Rockets.

The Mulvane baseball team hosted the Winfield Vikings and Rose Hill Rockets last week for a pair of non-league and league games. The Cats swept the Vikings and split with the Rockets to bring their record to 6-4 on the year and 2-2 in league play. The JV team swept the Vikings and split with the Rockets to bring their record to 6-4 on the season as well.

The Cats and Rockets were pretty even in game 1 until Rose Hill was able to score 6 runs in the 6th inning and held on for the 16-10 win. 

Tyke Creekmore started on the mound for the Cats and pitched 3 and 2/3rds innings, facing 17 batters, giving up 4 runs (2 earned), 4 hits, and 1 strikeout. Chase Dieker, Julien Myers, and Parker Richardson all spent some time on the mound as well.

Mulvane grabbed 11 hits in the game. Hunter Seier, Mason Ellis, Trenton Davis, Parker Richardson, Cooper Schmidt, Keaton Herd, and Ian Comer each grabbed hits in the game for the Wildcats. Hunter Seier, Mason Ellis, Trenton Davis, and Parker Richardson all had 2 hits to lead the Cats. Hunter Seier had 1 home run in the game.

The Wildcats collected 8 RBIs in the game. Hunter Seier, Trenton Davis, Parker Richardson, and Ian Comer each grabbed RBIs for the Wildcats. Hunter Seier knocked in 3 runners to lead the Wildcats in RBIs.

In game two, the Wildcats scored 1 run in the first and crossed 5 more runs in the 5th and 6th innings for the 6-3 win. 

Freshman Nolan Fevurly earned his second win for the Wildcats. He tossed six innings, giving up two runs, four hits, and walking three, and had five strikeouts. Brayden Tatum was the closing pitcher in the 7th inning.

Mulvane had 8 hits in the game. Mason Ellis, Cooper Schmidt, Nolan Fevurly, Brayden Tatum, Trenton Davis, and Ian Comer each had hits in the game for the Wildcats. Mason Ellis went 3-for- 4 at the plate to lead the Cats in hits.

Mulvane grabbed 5 RBIs in the game. Brayden Tatum, Trenton Davis, Ian Comer, and Garrett Olson each had RBIs for the Wildcats. Trenton Davis knocked in 2 runners to lead the Cats in RBIs.

Mulvane got up early and held on in a 14-2 run-rule win in game 1 versus Winfield on Monday.

Tatum earned the win for the Wildcats. He tossed five innings, giving up two runs, three hits,  walking one, and one strikeout.

The Mulvane Wildcats grabbed 12 hits in the game. Mason Ellis, Garrett Olson, Hunter Seier, Trenton Davis, Cooper Schmidt, Chase Dieker, Keaton Herd, and Parker Richardson each grabbed hits in the game for Mulvane. Mason Ellis went 3-for- 3 at the plate to lead the Mulvane Wildcats in hits. Trenton Davis had 1 home run in the game.

The Mulvane Wildcats collected 11 RBIs in the game. Hunter Seier, Trenton Davis, Cooper Schmidt, Keaton Herd, Parker Richardson, and Ian Comer each grabbed RBIs for Mulvane. Keaton Herd knocked in 3 runners to lead the Mulvane Wildcats in RBIs.

The Cats dropped in 9 runs in the first inning in game 2 and ended the game 3 innings with the 15-0 run rule win.

Myers earned the win for the Mulvane Wildcats. He tossed three and 1/3 innings, giving up zero runs, three hits, walking zero, and four strikeouts.

Mulvane collected 12 hits in the game. Mason Ellis, Cooper Schmidt, Ian Comer, Parker Richardson, Hunter Seier, Tyke Creekmore, and Garrett Olson each collected hits in the game for the Cats. Mason Ellis went 3-for- 3 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits.

The Wildcats had 14 RBIs in the game. Mason Ellis, Cooper Schmidt, Ian Comer, Parker Richardson, Hunter Seier, Garrett Olson, and Skyler Crow each collected RBIs for the Cats. Mason Ellis knocked in 4 runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs.
