The softball team tops Kingman in the make-up game, gets the sweep. Falls to Andale and splits with Wellington.

The Mulvane softball team faced Kingman on Monday, April 11th in a make-up game that was postponed from March 29th. The Cats were up 3-2 in the second inning when the game resumed. The Eagles were able to tie the game up and take the lead in the top of the 5th, but the Cats took the lead back with 2 runs and extended their lead with 3 more runs in the 6th and were able to hold on for the 8-6 win.

Lavers earned the win for the Wildcats. She tossed seven innings, giving up six runs, thirteen hits, walking zero, and had 10 strikeouts.

Mulvane had 7 hits in the game. Jalin Lavers, Olivia Ellis, Regan Witt, Makaylen Warner, and Avrie Warner each had hits in the game for Mulvane. Jalin Lavers and Olivia Ellis both had 2 hits to lead the Wildcats.

Mulvane collected 7 RBIs in the game. Jalin Lavers, Olivia Ellis, and Avrie Warner each had RBIs for Mulvane. Olivia Ellis knocked in 5 runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs.

The Wildcats hosted the Andale Indians on Thursday, April 7th, and the Cats fell to the Indians in both games. In game 1, the Wildcats were only able to get 1 run across the plate as Madison Phipps knocked in Jadyn Stevenson for the Cat's only run. Jalin Lavers pitched for the Wildcats, giving up 10 runs (5 earned) on 8 hits and had 6 strikeouts.

The Wildcats had 6 hits in the game. Addison Mackey, India Downs, Madison Phipps, and Avrie Warner each had hits in the game for the Cats. Addison Mackey and India Downs both had 2 hits to lead the Cats.

The girls were able to get more runs across the plate in the second game, but they fell 9-19 in the game. Peyton Baggett made the start for the Cats in the pitching circle, tossing 4.67 innings, giving up 14 runs and 1 strikeout. Addison Mackey pitched 1.33 innings in relief and gave up 5 runs on 5 hits.

Mulvane grabbed 9 hits in game 2. Makaylen Warner, India Downs, Avrie Warner, Jadyn Stevenson, Madison Phipps, and Olivia Ellis each grabbed hits in the game for Mulvane. Makaylen Warner, India Downs, and Avrie Warner all had 2 hits to lead Mulvane.

Mulvane finished with 7 RBIs in the game. Makaylen Warner, India Downs, Avrie Warner, Madison Phipps, and Addison Mackey each grabbed RBIs for Mulvane. India Downs, and Madison Phipps all had 2 RBIs to lead Mulvane.

The Cats hosted the Wellington Crusaders on Tuesday, April 5th and the girls split with Wellington on the evening, falling in game one 8-12 and winning the nightcap 8-1.

Jalin Lavers made the start in game 1, giving up 7 runs on 8 hits and had 10 strikeouts. Addison Mackey pitched 1 inning, giving up 5 runs on 6 hits.

The Mulvane Wildcats collected 10 hits in the game. Madison Phipps, Avrie Warner, Olivia Ellis, Addison Mackey, Regan Witt, Makaylen Warner, and Jalin Lavers each collected hits in the game for the Cats. Madison Phipps, Avrie Warner, and Olivia Ellis all had 2 hits to lead Mulvane.

The Mulvane Wildcats had 6 RBIs in the game. Madison Phipps, Avrie Warner, Olivia Ellis, and Makaylen Warner each collected RBIs for the Cats. Olivia Ellis knocked in 3 runners to lead the Wildcats in RBIs.

The Cats were able to hold Wellington to just 1 run in game two and scored 8 runs in the game.  Peyton Baggett earned the win for Mulvane. She tossed seven innings, giving up one run, five hits, and walking one.

Mulvane grabbed 11 hits in the game. Jadyn Stevenson, Regan Witt, Avrie Warner, Peyton Baggett, Olivia Ellis, and Jalin Lavers each grabbed hits in the game for the Mulvane Wildcats. Regan Witt went 3-for- 3 at the plate to lead the Mulvane Wildcats in hits.

Mulvane grabbed 3 RBIs in the game. Jadyn Stevenson and Madison Phipps both grabbed the only RBIs for the Wildcats. Jadyn Stevenson knocked in 2 runners to lead the Mulvane Wildcats in RBIs.

The JV team took care of business against Wellington on Monday, April 4th, winning both games 9-0 and 6-2.

The varsity team is sitting at 3-3 on the year and the JV team is 4-0. The varsity team will be back in action on Monday, April 18th as they host the Winfield Vikings in a non-league matchup. Games start at 4:30 PM. JV will be back in action on Wednesday, hosting Winfield as well at 4:30 PM.
