The Wildcats faced Andale for the first league games of the season, split on the evening.

After the first scheduled doubleheader was rained out, the Mulvane baseball team opened up their season on Monday, April 4th against Life Prep Academy and had a second doubleheader on Thursday, April 7th against AVCTL D4 opponent Andale Indians.

The Cats opened up their doubleheader on Thursday against Andale with each team scoring a run in the first, but the Indians were able to break open the game with 5 runs in the 3rd and the Cats were unable to chip away as they fell 2-10.

Parker Richardson toed the rubber for the Cats for most of the game. He tossed 6 innings, giving up 8 earned runs, 4 strikeouts, and walking 1. Tyke Creekmore finished out the game with 1 inning, giving up 1 run and had 3 strikeouts.

The Wildcats finished with 8 hits in the game. Hunter Seier, Mason Ellis, Garrett Olson, Parker Richardson, Cooper Schmidt, Ian Comer, and Chase Dieker each collected hits in the game for Mulvane. Hunter Seier went 2-for- 3 at the plate to lead the Cats in hits. Chase Dieker recorded the only RBI for Mulvane.

In game 2, the Wildcats jumped out with a strong 6 run lead in the first inning and didn't look back, getting the 12-2 win in the 6th inning. Myers earned the win for the Cats. He tossed six innings, giving up two runs, six hits, and walking one.

The Cats grabbed 12 hits in the game. Keaton Herd, Trenton Davis, Garrett Olson, Mason Ellis, Ian Comer, Parker Richardson, Hunter Seier, and Chase Dieker each grabbed hits in the game for the Wildcats. Keaton Herd, Garrett Olson, Mason Ellis, and Ian Comer all had 2 hits to lead Mulvane.

The Cats collected 6 RBIs in the game. Trenton Davis, Garrett Olson, Mason Ellis, Ian Comer, Hunter Seier, and Chase Dieker each grabbed RBIs for the Wildcats. Trenton Davis, Garrett Olson, Mason Ellis, Ian Comer, Hunter Seier, and Chase Dieker all had 1 RBI each in the game.

The Cats faced an interesting opponent last Monday in Life Prep Academy, a private school in Wichita that recruits all over the world. The Cats hung in there in game 1, tied 1-1 until the 5th inning when Life Prep scored 2 runs and the Cats fell 1-7.

The Cats grabbed 5 hits in the game. Ian Comer, Mason Ellis, Julien Myers, Easton Groth, and Hunter Seier each grabbed hits in the game for the Wildcats. Ian Comer, Mason Ellis, Julien Myers, Easton Groth, and Hunter Seier all had 1 hit each. Ian Comer recorded the only RBI for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats fell behind quickly in game 2 and had trouble getting any momentum, falling 4-15 in 5 innings.

The Wildcats collected 6 hits in the game. Parker Richardson, Trenton Davis, Chase Dieker, Hunter Seier, and Ian Comer each collected hits in the game for the Cats. Parker Richardson went 2-for- 3 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits.

The Wildcats had 4 RBIs in the game. Parker Richardson, Hunter Seier, and Ian Comer each collected RBIs for the Cats. Ian Comer knocked in 2 runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs.
