The Mulvane High School baseball team has been on the practice field for a couple of weeks and just held their annual alumni scrimmage this past Saturday, getting ready to start their 2022 season that kicks off on Thursday, March 31st at Clearwater. The Alumni scrimmage was a success with 16 alumni players showing up and the teams got a fun game in with perfect weather
The Wildcats are coming off a 15-8 season last year and a regional championship and a trip to state. The Cats have 5 returning all-league players and 4 all-state players, including team leading junior batter Parker Richardson (.484 avg, 31 hits, & 26 RBI). The Cats three leading pitchers are returning as well are junior Julien Myers (1.38 ERA & 15 K's), senior Mason Ellis (2.26 ERA & 20 K's), and senior Hunter Seier (2.71 ERA & 34 K's).
The Cats have 5 seniors, 7 juniors, 8 sophomores, and 8 freshman on the squad this year.
