The Mulvane girls varsity basketball team increased their win streak to 4 last week as they took care of business against El Dorado on Tuesday and Rose Hill on Thursday. The varisty girls are sitting at 7-7 on the season and 3-2 in league play. The JV girls are sitting at 3-7 on the season and the C-Team is 1-2.
The Wildcats traveled to Rose Hill on Thursday for a league matchup against the Rockets and the Cats jumped out to a 22-11 lead in the first half. The girls did not slow down in the second half, outscoring the Rockets 23-11 and got the 45-22 win. Karlie Kanaga led the Wildcats with 13 points on the evening. Kamryn Nolan broke into double digits with 10 points and led the girls with 8 rebounds. Ashley Young also had a great night on the boards with 7 rebounds.

The JV girls were down by 1 at halftime, but a strong third quarter propelled the Cats to the 44-27 win. Olivia Ellis led the Cats with 13 points in the game.

The girls hosted El Dorado last Tuesday and the Cats defense held the opposing Wildcats to just 2 points in the second and third quarters and the Mulvane Wildcats got the 48-24 win. Karlie Kanaga and Madison Shaw led the Ladycats with 13 points each on the evening and Teagan Garrison broke into double digits as well with 11 points. Ashley Young had another great game in the paint with 10 rebounds.

The JV team had a shootout with El Dorado as they were neck and neck for most of the ballgame but fell just short, falling 30-37. Madison Phipps led the Cats with 10 points on the evening.

The C-Team team had no trouble against El Dorado as they won the game 64-24. Makenna Treat led the Ladycats with 26 points in the game and Kierra Cain also had a great game and dropped in 16 points.
