The Mulvane football team closed out their 2021 season with an 8-2 record, 3-2 record in the AVCTL D4, regional champs, and section runner-up. The AVCTL D4 league coaches had their annual league meeting and voted on the All-League teams for the 2021 season and 16 Wildcats earned All-League recognition.

Senior Mason Ellis earned unanimous 1st Team All-League at quarterback, 1st Team All-League at defensive back, and was voted the AVCTL D4 Offensive MVP. Mason finished the season with 129 completions out of 229 attempts, 1569 passing yards, 13 passing TDs, 183 rushing attempts for 1152 yards, and 21 rushing TDs. Mason finished the season with 37.5 tackles (23 solo and 29 assists), 14 pass breakups, and 4 interceptions.

Senior Hunter Seier earned unanimous 1st Team All-League at wide receiver and 1st Team All-League at defensive back. Hunter finished the season with 62 receptions for 955 yards and 10 TD receptions. Seier finished with 43 tackles (28 solo and 28 assists) and 1.5 tackles for loss, 13 pass breakups, and 4 interceptions.

Senior Ian Comer earned 1st Team All-League at wide receiver and 1st Team All-League at linebacker. Ian finished the season with 34 receptions for 353 yards and 3 TD receptions. Comer finished the season with 37 tackles (15 solo and 44 assists), 3.0 sacks, 8.0 tackles for loss, 2 pass breakups, and 1 interception.

Senior Ethan Mendez earned 1st Team All-League at offensive line. Ethan helped anchor the line and propel the Wildcats to 1728 rushing yards and 1636 passing yards this season.

Senior Trent Moses earned 2nd Team All-League at linebacker. Trent had a monster year and led the Cats with 58 tackles (32 solo and 52 assists), 8.0 sacks, 12.5 tackles for loss, 2 pass breakups, and 1 interception.

Senior Josh Phillips earned 2nd Team All-League at defensive line. Josh finished the season with 29 tackles (18 solo and 22 assists), 2.0 sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss, and 4 pass breakups.

Junior Julien Myers earned 2nd Team All-League at runningback. Julien finished the season with 131 rushing attempts for 494 yards and 4 rushing touchdowns. Myers also finished with 22 receptions for 213 yards out of the backfield.

Junior Chase Dieker earned 2nd Team All-League at punter and All-League Honorable Mention as a kicker. Chase finished the season with 40 punts for 1494 yards for a 37.4 average and 10 inside the 20-yard line. Dieker finished the season with 52 kickoffs for 2131 yards for a 41.0 average and 3 touchbacks. Chase finished with 1 out of 3 field goals and 27 out of 36 extra points made in the season.

Sophomore Kaiden Abasolo earned 2nd Team All-League at defensive end. Kaiden finished the season with 27 tackles (18 solo and 18 assists), 3.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, 1 safety, and 2 pass breakups.

Sophomore Austin Vanderhoof earned 2nd Team All-League at offensive line. Austin helped anchor the line at the center position and to propel the Wildcats to 1728 rushing yards and 1636 passing yards this season.

Senior Zach Lanzrath, Senior Keaton Herd, junior Trenton Davis, and junior Ethan Irvine all earned All-League Honorable Mention for defense. Lanzrath finished the season with 25.5 tackles, 2.0 sacks, and 4 tackles for loss as a defensive end. Herd finished with 27 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 4 tackles for loss as a linebacker. Davis finished with 54.5 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 1 interception as a defensive back. Irvine finished the season with 19 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 6 tackles for loss as a defensive lineman.

Junior Andy Huynh and sophomore Kaiden Abasolo both earned All-League Honorable Mention as offensive linemen. They both helped anchor the line and propel the Wildcats to 1728 rushing yards and 1636 passing yards this season.

Coach Daniel Myears earned AVCTL D4 Coach of the Year for the 2021 season. Myears finished up his 4th season at the helm, finishing the season at 8-3 and 3-2 in league play, and won his first regional championship, and sectional runner-up as the skipper.
