Payton Fox participated in the 4A State Tournament to close out the 2021 season.

Mulvane sophomore Payton Fox and Coach Kollmeyer made the trip to Salina Municipal Golf Course for the 4A State Tournament on Monday, Oct 18th. Payton was the lone Wildcat who qualified for state and she finished the first day with a 109 and tied for 54th place, just out of reach to qualify for the second day of state. "Payton is much improved from last year, cutting her average down from 124 to 112 this year and had several rounds that easily could have been in the 90's," said Coach Kollmeyer. "She's right there."

The Wildcats were led by Senior Jorja Knodel this year who averaged a 51 in 9-hole rounds and 111 in 18-hole rounds. Her best 9-hole round was a 48 and her best 18-hole round was a 101. Sophomore Payton Fox averaged 53 and 112 and her best rounds were a 50 and 108. Junior Brooklyn Loveless averaged 58 and 104 and her best rounds were a 55 and 110. Sophomore Kaia Moore averaged 58 and 125 and her best rounds were a 55 and 113. Freshman Marley Bowker averaged 65 and 160 and her best rounds were a 65 and 144.
