The Mulvane men's golf team grabs 3rd place at regionals, qualify for state. Moore gets regional medal.

The varsity men's golf team traveled to Wellington Golf Club for the Regional Tournament on Monday, May 17th. The Wildcats finished in 3rd place as a team with a 369 team total in the 18 hole round. The Cats were led by Ian Moore who shot a round of 86 and finished in 8th place and received a regional medal. The Wildcats as a team qualified for the 4A State Tournament which will be held at the Mariah Hills Golf Course in Dodge City, KS on Monday, May 24th (round 1) and Tuesday, May 25th (round 2).

Mulvane has had several individuals qualifiy for the state tournament since the programs inception in the 1997-98 school year, but this is the first time the Wildcats as a team has qualified for state.

REGIONAL RESULTS:
Mulvane Scores: (18 holes)
 * Ian Moore - 86 (medal 8th place)
 * Gerald Collier - 90 (13th place)
 * Rhyse Tallman - 92 (16th place)
 * Kyle Jones - 101 (22nd place)
 * Trent Moses - 109 (27th place)
 * Chayton Pfannenstiel - 119 (36th place)

Wildcats: 369 - 3rd place
Low Team Score 319 - Wellington
Medalist 69 - Blake Saffell - Wellington
