Another good week for the Mulvane baseball team as they faced the Cheney Cardinals and the Wellington Crusaders and went 4-0 on the week. The varsity team improves to 13-5 on the season and 5-5 in league play.

In game one against Wellington, Mulvane and Wellington were tied up 5-5 until the 5th and 6th innings when the Cats moved 9 players across the plate for the 16-6 run rule. 
 
Schmidt led things off on the pitcher's mound for Mulvane Wildcats Varsity. The righty surrendered five runs on ten hits over four innings, striking out one.. Herd earned the win for Mulvane. He tossed two innings, giving up one run, two hits, and walking one.
 
The Mulvane Wildcats collected 17 hits in the game. Trenton Davis, Hunter Seier, Parker Richardson, Cooper Schmidt, Trey Abasolo, Ian Comer, Tab Creekmore, and Mason Ellis each collected hits in the game for Mulvane. Trenton Davis and Hunter Seier both had 4 hits to lead Mulvane.
 
The Mulvane Wildcats had 14 RBIs in the game. Trenton Davis, Hunter Seier, Parker Richardson, Cooper Schmidt, Ian Comer, Tab Creekmore, and Julien Myers each collected RBIs for Mulvane. Hunter Seier knocked in 5 runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs.
 
The Cats stole 9 bases during the game with Trenton Davis, Hunter Seier, Parker Richardson, Ian Comer, Keaton Herd, and Caleb Perkins all grabbing stolen bases.

In game 2 against Wellington, Julien Myers took the mound for the Wildcats and proceeded to pitch a no-hitter as the Cats won 10-0 in 6 innings. Myers tossed five innings, giving up zero runs, zero hits, and walking zero.
 
The Mulvane Wildcats had 13 hits in the game. Cooper Schmidt, Trey Abasolo, Tab Creekmore, Trenton Davis, Hunter Seier, Parker Richardson, Garrett Olson, Ian Comer, and Mason Ellis each had hits in the game for the Cats. Tab Creekmore went 3-for- 4 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits.
 
The Mulvane Wildcats had 9 RBIs in the game. Trey Abasolo, Tab Creekmore, Trenton Davis, Hunter Seier, Parker Richardson, Garrett Olson, Ian Comer, and Mason Ellis each had RBIs for the Cats. Mason Ellis knocked in 2 runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs.
 
The Cats stole 5 bases during the game with Cooper Schmidt, Tab Creekmore, Hunter Seier, and Ian Comer all grabbing stolen bases.

It was a battle in game 1 versus Cheney last Monday but the Cats were able to hold on to the 1-0 lead for the win.
 
Mason Ellis earned the win for the Wildcats. He tossed seven innings, giving up zero runs, two hits, and walking four.
 
The Mulvane Wildcats collected 2 hits in the game. Trey Abasolo and Cooper Schmidt both collected the only hits for Mulvane. 
 
There were no RBIs in the game and Tab Creekmore was the Wildcat to cross the plate for the teams 1 run.
 
Mulvane stole 1 base during the game with Parker Richardson grabbing the only stolen base.

Mulvane got up early and held on in a 10-2 win in game 2 versus Cheney.
 
Richardson earned the win for Mulvane. He tossed seven innings, giving up two runs, one hit, and walking six.
 
The Mulvane Wildcats grabbed 3 hits in the game. Tab Creekmore and Cooper Schmidt both grabbed the only hits for the Mulvane Wildcats. Tab Creekmore went 2-for- 2 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits.
 
The Mulvane Wildcats collected 5 RBIs in the game. Tab Creekmore, Cooper Schmidt, and Parker Richardson each grabbed RBIs for the Cats. Tab Creekmore knocked in 3 runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs.
 
The Cats stole 6 bases during the game with Tab Creekmore, Garrett Olson, Ian Comer, and Keaton Herd all grabbing stolen bases.

The Wildcats will celebrate the seniors and wrap up the regular season on Monday, May 10th as they host the Buhler Crusaders.
