The Mulvane Baseball team sweeps the Vikings and Splits with the Rockets on the week.

The Mulvane baseball team had two doubleheaders last week against the Winfield Viking and Rose Hill Rockets, both away games. The Wildcats split with the Rockets and swept the Vikings to bring their record to 7-3 on the season and 3-3 in league play.

The Cats had trouble stopping the Rockets in the first game as they fell 2-12 last Thursday.

Parker Richardson started on the mound for the Cats, pitching 3 innings, giving up 6 runs (many unearned). Tab Creekmore and Keaten Herd both had some mound time as well.

The Wildcats finished with 7 hits in the game. Cooper Schmidt, Parker Richardson, Tab Creekmore, Ian Comer, Tucker Garrison, and Julien Myers each collected hits in the game for the Cats. Parker Richardson went 2-for- 2 at the plate to lead the Mulvane Wildcats in hits and Tab Creekmore had the Cats only double of the game.

The Wildcats grabbed 2 RBIs in the game. Parker Richardson and Tucker Garrison both collected the only RBIs for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats bounced back in the nightcap and won 5-1 over the Rockets. The Cats scored 3 runs in the first inning and never looked back.

Seier earned the win for the Mulvane Wildcats. He tossed one inning, giving up one run, two hits, and walking one. Julien Myers finished out the game pitching six innings giving up zero runs on four hits and two strikeouts.

Mulvane collected 5 hits in the game. Hunter Seier, Parker Richardson, Keaton Herd, Tucker Garrison, and Garrett Olson all had 1 hit each to lead the Mulvane Wildcats.

Parker Richardson and Keaton Herd both collected the only RBIs for the Wildcats.

Mulvane stole 4 bases during the game with Hunter Seier, Garrett Olson, Cooper Schmidt, and Julien Myers all grabbing stolen bases.

The Wildcats traveled to Winfield last Monday and swept the Vikings in both games, combining for 32 hits between the two games.

In game 1, the Cats scored 6 runs in the first two innings and never looked back.

Richardson earned the win for Mulvane. He tossed four and 1/3 innings, giving up one run, four hits, and walking two. Hunter Seier and Julien Myers both provided relief on the mound.

The Wildcats grabbed 10 hits in the game. Hunter Seier, Mason Ellis, Tab Creekmore, Cooper Schmidt, Parker Richardson, and Chase Dieker each grabbed hits in the game for the Cats. Hunter Seier went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Wildcats in hits. Seier and Creekmore both had two doubles in the game.

The Wildcats collected 9 RBIs in the game. Hunter Seier, Mason Ellis, Tab Creekmore, and Parker Richardson each grabbed RBIs for the Cats. Hunter Seier and Tab Creekmore both had 3 RBIs to lead the Mulvane Wildcats.

The Mulvane Wildcats stole 4 bases during the game with Hunter Seier, Mason Ellis, Chase Dieker, and Keaton Herd all grabbing stolen bases.

The Cats tee'd off in game two for 22 hits and 18 runs.The Wildcats's biggest inning was the fourth inning where they scored 9 runs in the frame.

Schmidt earned the win for Mulvane. He tossed four and 1/3 innings, giving up three runs, one hit, and walking four.

The Cats had 19 hits in the game. Caleb Perkins, Tab Creekmore, Mason Ellis, Tucker Garrison, Hunter Seier, Trey Abasolo, Parker Richardson, Ian Comer, Julien Myers, and Cooper Schmidt each had hits in the game for the Mulvane Wildcats. Tab Creekmore and Mason Ellis both had 4 hits to lead the Cats. Mason Ellis and Hunter Seier both had home runs in the game.

The Cats collected 18 RBIs in the game. Tab Creekmore, Mason Ellis, Tucker Garrison, Hunter Seier, Parker Richardson, Ian Comer, Julien Myers, and Cooper Schmidt each had RBIs for the Mulvane Wildcats. Mason Ellis knocked in 4 runners to lead the Wildcats in RBIs.
