The Mulvane Baseball team split in the last 2 double headers, sweep Belle Plaine but fall to Andale.

The Mulvane baseball team hosted the Belle Plaine Dragons last Monday, Apr 12th for a non-league doubleheader. Mulvane surged early and held on in a 10-0 win versus Belle Plaine in game 1.

Parker Richardson earned the win for the Cats. He tossed five innings, giving up zero runs, three hits,  two strikeouts, and walking three.

The Wildcats had 7 hits in the game. Trenton Davis, Tab Creekmore, Parker Richardson, Cooper Schmidt, and Ian Comer each collected hits in the game for Mulvane. Tab Creekmore and Parker Richardson both had 2 hits to lead Mulvane.

The Wildcats collected 6 RBIs in the game. Tab Creekmore, Parker Richardson, Ian Comer, Hunter Seier, and Keaton Herd each collected RBIs for Mulvane. Parker Richardson knocked in 2 runners to lead the Wildcats in RBIs.
 
The Mulvane Wildcats stole 1 base during the game with Julien Myers grabbing the only stolen base.

Mulvane jumped out to an early lead and held on in an 11-2 win versus Belle Plaine in game 2.
 
Cooper Schmidt earned the win for the Mulvane Wildcats. He tossed four innings, giving up zero runs, three hits, six strikeouts, and walking three.
 
The Wildcats had 10 hits in the game. Tucker Garrison, Cooper Schmidt, Ian Comer, Parker Richardson, Tab Creekmore, and Chase Dieker each had hits in the game for Mulvane. Tucker Garrison, Cooper Schmidt, Ian Comer, and Parker Richardson all had 2 hits to lead Mulvane.
 
The Wildcats grabbed 10 RBIs in the game. Tucker Garrison, Cooper Schmidt, Ian Comer, Parker Richardson, Tab Creekmore, and Hunter Seier each had RBIs for Mulvane. Tucker Garrison, Ian Comer, Parker Richardson, and Hunter Seier all had 2 RBIs to lead Mulvane.
 
Mulvane stole 2 bases during the game with Hunter Seier grabbing 2 stolen bases.

Mulvane traveled to Andale on Thursday, April 8th for a league double header against the Indians.

Mulvane fell behind in the first inning and couldn't quite come back in a 1-2 loss to Andale in game 1
 
Mason Ellis tossed all 6 innings for the Wildcats, only allowing one earned run on two hits, four walks, and three strikeouts.
 
The Wildcats had 7 hits in the game. Ian Comer, Hunter Seier, Trey Abasolo, Julien Myers, Parker Richardson, and Mason Ellis each had hits in the game for the Cats. Ian Comer went 2-for- 3 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits.
 
Julien Myers recorded the only RBI for the Cats.
 
The Wildcats stole 2 bases during the game with Hunter Seier and Trenton Davis both recording stolen bases.

The Cats held a 2-1 lead until the 7th inning when the Indians were able get two players across the plate and the Cats fell 2-3.
 
Hunter Seier pitched 6.33 innings and only allowed two runs on one hit, three walks, and ten strikeouts. Tab Creekmore relieved in the seventh inning giving up one run with one walk.
 
The Mulvane Wildcats had 4 hits in the game. Tab Creekmore, Parker Richardson, Cooper Schmidt, and Chase Dieker each had hits in the game for the Wildcats. Tab Creekmore, Parker Richardson, Cooper Schmidt, and Chase Dieker all had 1 hit to lead the Wildcats.
 
The Mulvane Wildcats collected 2 RBIs in the game. Cooper Schmidt and Trenton Davis both had the only RBIs for Mulvane. Cooper Schmidt, and Trenton Davis all had 1 RBIs to lead the Wildcats.

The JV team fell to Andale 3-5 and 2-5 and participated in a tournament at Heights last Saturday with 3 games against Heights, Wellington, and Bishop Carroll. The JV team fell to Heights 8-9, defeated Wellington 10-4, and fell to Bishop Carroll 0-11.

The varsity team is sitting at 4-2 on the season and 2-2 in league play. The Cats will be back in action on Monday, April 19th as they travel to Winfield for a non-league double header. There will be no JV games at Winfield.
