The Mulvane girls basketball team faced two tribes last week, fall to both Indians in league matchups.

The Mulvane girls basketball team traveled to Andale on Friday, January 15th for a league matchup against the tough Indians team. The Indians jumped on the Wildcats early with a 19-7 first quarter and the Cats went into halftime down 13-31. The Cats had trouble with the Indian defense in the second half as well as the Cats fell 24-53. Kamryn Nolan (Jr.) led the Wildcats with 8 points on the evening and also in rebounds with 6 boards. The girl's varsity falls to 1-8 on the season and 0-5 in league play.

The Wildcats traveled to Clearwater for a road game against the Indians in an AVCTL D4 league matchup. The Cats had trouble stopping the Indian's offense, particularly in the second and third quarters as the Indians scored 21 and 23 points respectively as the Wildcats fell 33-62. Kamryn Nolan (Jr.) led the Wildcats with 9 points and 6 rebounds on the evening.

The JV girls only played two quarters because of a shortage of players. The Wildcats and Indians were even after a 10-10 first quarter but the Indians shut down the Cats with a 20-4 second quarter as the girls fell 14-30. Ashley Young (Fr.) led the Wildcats with 5 points in the game.

The C-Team girls had trouble getting the shots to fall until the 4th quarter as they fell 17-38 in the contest. Madison Phipps (Fr.) led the Wildcats with 9 points on the evening.

The Wildcats will have next week off due to the boy's tournament week and the girls will return to the courts the week of January 25th for the Wildcat Classic. The WCC brackets will be released next week.
