The Middle School 7th grade girls wrapped up their season last weekend as they participated in the Patriot League tournament. They faced Haysville West in their first game and took care of business as they won 34-13. Grace Carpenter led the Cats with 7 points and Jaryn Baker led the Cats with 7 rebounds.

The Wildcats faced Prairie Hills in the second game of the tournament and fell 15-26 to end their season. The Cats were led by Kylie Schwanke with 8 points and Teagan Heersche led the Cats in rebounds with 5.

The 7A girls finished the season with a 9-5 record and 6-4 in league play (3rd place in league).
7A League Results:
1 - Wellington (10-0)
2 - Prairie Hills (8-2)
3 - Mulvane (6-4)
4 - Rose Hill (4-6)
5 - Clearwater (2-8)
6 - Haysville West (0-10)

Grace Carpenter led the 7A Wildcats in total points with 77 on the season and Kylie Schwanke led the Cats in points per game with 6.3. Jaryn Baker led the Cats in defensive and total rebounds on the season with 49 and 67 respectively and Teagan Heersche led the Cats in offensive rebounds with 23.

The 7B girls finished the season with an 8-4 record and 6-4 in league play (3rd place in league).
7B League Results:

2 - Clearwater (7-3)
3 - Mulvane (6-4)
4 - Rose Hill (3-6)
5 - Prairie Hills (2-6)
6 - Haysville West (0-9)

Elle Everhart led the 7B Wildcats in total points with 80 on the season and in points per game with 8.9. Elle also led the Cats in defensive, offense, and total rebounds on the season with 31, 31, and 62 respectively.
 
"What a crazy year.. one I will never forget," said Coach Hansen. "This season provided several challenges, but I'm proud of how this team handled adversity. The girls learned how to play as a team and developed some fundamental skills that Coach Hargrove and I hope will carry over into next season," said Hansen.

"I'm very happy with the growth of this team and look forward to watching them improve over the next few years," said Coach Hansen.
