The 7th and 8th grade girls go undefeated this week against the Rockets and Indians.

The girls hosted Rose Hill on Thursday, November 19th and the Wildcats swept the Rockets in all 4 games. The 8A girls topped Rose Hill in a very close game as they were down 6-9 at halftime but came back and outscored Rose Hill 10-4 in the second half, holding them to zero points in the 4th quarter for the 16-13 win. Makenna Treat led the Wildcats with 6 points followed by Rylee Dieker with 5 points. Lexi and Madi Cunningham both finished with 2 points and Olivia Ellis finished with 1 point.

The 8B girls didn't have any trouble controlling the game against the Rockets as they went into halftime up 15-6 and finished the second half 7-3, winning 22-9. Madi Cunningham led the Cats with 10 points and Jade Smallwood, Reece Lazier, and Laiken Hladik all finished with 4 points each.

"Rose Hill brought full-court pressure that bothered our guards in both games," said Coach Hansen. "Their defensive pressure sped us up on offense and rushed us into bad shots. We couldn't get shots to fall in either game. (9/57 15.8%) in the A Game (12/65 18.5%) in the B game. Despite our inability to knock down shots the girls battled and found a way to win both games." said Coach Hansen. Elle Everhart had a great night and was the Cat's top scorer in both games as she scored 6 points in the A-game and 14 points in the B-game.

The girls hosted Clearwater on Monday, November 16th and the Wildcats swept the Indians in all 4 games. The 8A girls topped Clearwater in a very close game as they controlled the first half, outscoring them 18-9, but the Indians controlled the second half, outscoring the Cats 18-11, but the Cats held on for the 2 point victory behind Olivia Ellis and Reece Lazier's team-high 9 points each.

The 8B girls went into halftime up 9-3 but were outscored 9-10 in the second half, but held on for the 18-13 win. Madi Cunningham led the Cats with 8 points while Jade Smallwood dropped in 6 points, and Reece Lazier finished with 4 points.

The 7A girls had no trouble controlling the game against the Indians. The Cats went into halftime up 13-2 and held on to their lead in the second half, outscoring the Indians 9-4 for the 22-6 win. Grace Carpenter lead the Cats with 9 points followed by Kinley Kendrick with 7 points, Kylie Schwanke with 4 points, and Teagan Heersche finished with 2 points.

The 7B girls also controlled the game against Clearwater as they went into halftime up 12-6 and also won the second half 13-5 for the 25-11 win. Elle Everhart had another great game with 11 points followed by Peyton Seibel, Ellie Willig, and Sadie Williams who all finished with 4 points each, and Adriah Dedeaux finished with 2 points.

The mid-season tournaments have been canceled so the girls will travel to Prairie Hills on Monday, Nov 23rd for a re-match with the Crusaders, with games starting at 5:00 PM.
