The softball girls are looking to rebound on senior night against Wellington after falling to McPherson and Andale.

The Mulvane Softball team hosted the Andale Indians on Thursday in a make-up doubleheader from the previous week. The Cats and Indians battled in a close matchup that went into an extra inning, but the Indians got the go-ahead run and the 3-2 win. Jalin Lavers pitched another phenomenal game, recording 15 strikeouts and allowing only 5 hits.

The Cats had 7 hits in the game and Madison Phipps went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Cats. Emma Kendrick, Jalin Lavers, Addison Mackey, and India Downs each had hits in the game for the Wildcats. Madison Phipps and India Downs both had the only RBIs for the Mulvane Wildcats with 1 RBI each

Andale jumped out ahead in the nightcap with two runs in the first inning and the Cats struggled at the plate with three hits and two runs in the 2-10 loss. Peyton Baggett had the start for the Cats and pitched two innings and had one strikeout, four hits, and four runs. Lavers relieved in game two and pitched five innings and had five strikeouts, six runs, and eight hits. The Cats collected 3 hits in the game with Regan Witt, Addison Mackey, and Jalin Lavers all with one hit each

The Wildcats made the long trip to McPherson on Monday for the final AVCTL D3 games of the season. The first game was a battle between the two great teams that went 9 innings, but the Bullpups were able to get one across the plate in the bottom of the 9th for the 10-9 win. Jalin Lavers pitched the entire game and finished with five strikeouts, nine runs, and thirteen hits.

The Mulvane Wildcats had 8 hits in the game and Regan Witt, India Downs, and Addison Mackey all had 2 hits to lead Mulvane. Madison Phipps and Emma Kendrick also recorded one hit each in the game for the Cats.

The Mulvane Wildcats collected 8 RBIs in the game and Addison Mackey knocked in five runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs. Regan Witt, India Downs, and Emma Kendrick each recorded RBIs for the Cats.

The Bullpups jumped out ahead early in game two and the Cats had trouble getting runners across the plate in the 1-10 loss. Peyton Baggett made the start for the Cats, pitching five innings, facing 28 batters, and giving up ten hits and eight runs. Lavers pitched two innings and faced 9 batters with two hits and two runs.

The Wildcats had 5 hits in the game and Regan Witt went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits. Avrie Warner, India Downs, and Makaylen Warner each had one hit in the game for the Wildcats. Emma Kendrick recorded the only RBI for the Wildcats.
