The softball girls improve to 13-1 on the season and move up in the 4A Rankings to the number two spot.

The Mulvane softball team hosted Circle last Monday, April 24th for an AVCTL D3 matchup. The Wildcats swept the Thunderbirds to improve to 13-1 on the season and 7-1 in league play and improved to the #2 ranked team in 4A in Kansas. The Cats dropped in 6 runs in the first game to get the 6-4 win.

Jalin Lavers earned the win for Mulvane. She tossed all seven innings, giving up four runs, two hits, walking two, and six strikeouts.

The Mulvane Wildcats had 6 hits in the game and India Downs went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits. Madison Phipps, Olivia Ellis, Regan Witt, and Emma Kendrick also had hits in the game for the Cats.

The Mulvane Wildcats collected 6 RBIs in the game and Olivia Ellis knocked in 3 runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs. India Downs and Regan Witt also had RBIs for the Cats. Madison Phipps recorded the only stolen base for the Cats.

Circle scored 3 runs in the first inning of the nightcap, but the Cats rebounded and scored 6 runs of their own and held on for the 10-5 win (the game was called in the 6th inning due to rain).

Baggett earned the win for the Cats. She tossed five and 1/3 innings, giving up five runs, nine hits, walking one, and one strikeout. Lavers came in and pitched 2/3rd innings for the save.

Mulvane had 10 hits in the game and Olivia Ellis went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Wildcats in hits. Addison Mackey, Madison Phipps, Jaryn Baker, Avrie Warner, and India Downs each had hits in the game for Mulvane.

Mulvane had 8 RBIs in the game with Olivia Ellis, Madison Phipps, and Makaylen Warner all having 2 RBIs to lead the Cats. Regan Witt and Emma Kendrick also recorded an RBI for Mulvane. Emma Kendrick had the only stolen base in the game for the Wildcats.
