Mulvane The Mulvane baseball team hosted Circle on Monday, April 24th and the Cats split with the Thunderbirds on the evening, taking the first game 7-2 and falling in the nightcap 0-2. The Cats jumped ahead in the first few innings, scoring 4 runs and added another 3 runs in the 5th inning and hung on for the 7-2 win. Julien Myers earned the win for Mulvane. He tossed 5 innings, giving up 2 runs, 3 hits, walking zero, and 5 strikeouts. Parker Clubb hit the mounds for the final two innings, giving up zero runs on 2 hits and had 4 strikeouts.
The Wildcats as a team finished with 7 hits in the game. Garrett Olson and Nolan Fevurly both had 2 hits to lead the Cats. Garrett Olson, Nolan Fevurly, Brayden Tatum, Lucas Sorensen, and Parker Richardson each finished with hits in the game for the Wildcats. Nolan Fevurly blasted one over the fence for his 1st home run of the season.
The Wildcats finished with 6 RBIs in the game. Garrett Olson knocked in 3 runners to lead the Wildcats in RBIs. Garrett Olson, Nolan Fevurly, and Tyke Creekmore each finished with RBIs for the Wildcats.

The Cats had some trouble getting runs across the plate in the nightcap as the Cats fell 0-2. Nolan Fevurly pitched a terrific complete game, giving up only 2 runs on 4 hits, 1 walk, and 10 strikeouts.
The Wildcats as a team grabbed 2 hits in the game with Parker Richardson and Lucas Sorensen both having 1 hit each. Brayden Tatum had the only stolen base for the Cats in the game.

The Wildcats are sitting at 6-8 on the season and 3-5 in AVCTL D3 league play. The Thursday game versus Andale was postponed due to weather. The Cats will be back in action on Monday, May 1st as they make the long drive to McPherson.
