The Mulvane baseball team traveled to Clearwater on Monday, April 17th for a non-league doubleheader with the Indians. The Cats were looking to rebound after a couple of tough doubleheaders the week before. In game 1, the Cats jumped out ahead with 8 runs in the first 3 innings and added on a couple more in the 7th innings for the 10-4 win.
Julien Myers earned the win for the Cats. He tossed five innings, giving up four runs, six hits, walking three, and two strikeouts. Parker Clubb finished out the game on the mound and tossed two innings, giving up zero runs, zero hits, and three strikeouts.
The Wildcats as a team finished with 12 hits in the game. Tyke Creekmore went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Cats in hits. Parker Richardson, Tyke Creekmore, Brayden Tatum, Nolan Fevurly, Manny Myers, and Garrett Olson each finished with hits in the game for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats collected 8 RBIs in the game. Parker Richardson knocked in 3 runners to lead the Cats in RBIs. Parker Richardson, Tyke Creekmore, Brayden Tatum, Garrett Olson, and Lucas Sorensen each finished with RBIs for the Wildcats.
Mulvane stole 2 bases during the game with Brayden Tatum and Garrett Olson both recording stolen bases.

In the nightcap, the Cats jumped out ahead in the 3rd inning with 4 runs and added 4 more in the game for the 8-3 win.
Nolan Fevurly earned the win for the Wildcats. He tossed four innings, giving up two runs, two hits, walking two, and four strikeouts. Lucas Sorensen threw 2.1 innings, giving up one run, zero hits, three walks, and four strikeouts. Parker Clubb pitched 0.2 innings and finished with zero hits and one strikeout.

The Wildcats are sitting at 5-7 on the season and 2-4 in league play. The JV squad is sitting at 10-4 on the season and had a great tournament at Heights, winning all 3 games for 1st place. The JV Cats lost in one game against Augusta last Friday and split with Clearwater on Monday.
