The Mulvane girls basketball team takes down Clearwater and will face Andale for the sub-state championship.

The Mulvane girl's basketball team advanced in their substate this week by defeating the Clearwater Indians on Wednesday by a final score of 45-39. The Cats and the Indians were neck-and-neck in the first half with the Cats down 22-24 at halftime. The girls recovered a point in the third quarter and it came down to crunch time in the 4th. The Cats were able to drop in 4 buckets and converted 6 out of 8 free throws and took the win 45-39. Madison Shaw led the Wildcats with 16 points and Lauren Young finished with 10 rebounds in the game.

The girls will travel to Andale on Saturday, March 4th for the championship game with the winner earning a trip to state. Game time is 6:00 PM.
