Kammie Schanz and Josie Russell battle for 1st place in the 136-143 weight class

The Mulvane Girls and JV wrestling team traveled to Wellington on Saturday, January 25th for the Wellington JV Invitational. The girls came home with a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finish. Kammie Schanz (Fr) grabbed first place in the 136-143 weight class and had to wrestle teammate Josie Russell (Sr) in the 1st place match. Josie finished in 2nd place. Emma Bowman (Fr) finished in 3rd place in the 116 weight class and Jerika Stilles (Fr) finished in 4th place in the 130 weight class.
The JV boys had 2 wrestlers finish in 2nd place and 2 wrestlers finish in 3rd place. Elijah Hensley (Fr) finished in 2nd place in the 113 weight class and Chris Dietrich (Fr) finished in 2nd place in the 152 B weight class. Mason Cooper (Soph) finished in 3rd place in the 132 weight class and Andy Huynh finished in 3rd place in the 160 weight class.
There were no team scores at this event, just individual weight class brackets.
