The Mulvane Wrestling team traveled to Douglass last Thursday, January 23rd for the Douglass Jamboree. There were no team scores in this tournament, just mainly a chance for wrestlers to get matches in. Each weight class did have their own brackets and individual placements.
Mulvane had 8 first-place finishes in the men's brackets and 3 first-place finishes in the women's brackets. Trenton Davis (126B), Trent Moses (132C), Collin Wyant (145C), Andy Huynh (160B), Jon Meek (182), Ethan McElravy (195B), Hunter Scott (285A), and Brayden Pitzer (285B) all finished in 1st place in their weight classes. Kaydran Russell (120A), Josie Russell (126), and Kammie Schanz (145) all finished in 1st place in their weight classes in the women's brackets.
The Cats had 6 second-place finishes in the men's brackets and 2 second-place finishes in the women's brackets. Hunter Dietrich (100-108), Elijah Hensley (113), Mason Cooper (132A), Jackson Shields (132B), Chris Dietrich (152A), and Tanner Lane (285A) all finished in 2nd place in their weight classes. Emma Bowman (120B) and Elizabeth Kirchner (126) both finished in 2nd place in their weight classes in the women's brackets.
