Losing seven seniors from last year the Wildcats look to take some leadership roles from this year’s seniors. Last year the Wildcats posted an 11-10 season record, going 6-4 in AVCTL division 3. The Cats will be competing in AVCTL division 4 this year.

The Wildcats do have some top returners from last year’s team. 1st team First Basemen Senior Brandon Doramus, 1st team Designated Hitter Senior Landen Stewart, 1st team Pitcher Senior Mason LeClair, 2nd team Outfield Senior Jaden Dulaney, 2nd team Pitcher Senior Taylor Cusick. There will be some big shoes to fill from the loss of Catcher Andrew Berry and Outfielder Austin Bell. Berry finished the year with a .435 batting average, a team leading 19 RBI’s and also led the team in walks. Bell followed up with a .333 batting average and led the team with HBP having 3.

They will also have some more shoes to fill with Senior Jace Price’s knee injury. Price held the teams’ second best batting average at .383 and the teams third best 14 RBI’s. Price also did a job on the mound for the Cats having 24 2/3 IP and posting a 3.69 ERA. The Cats have two top returning Pitchers Seniors Taylor Cusick and Mason LeClair. Cusick pitched 24 2/3 innings as a junior and a record of 3 and 1 with a 1.99 ERA. LeClair recorded 38 IP and a 4 and 1 record with a 2.95 ERA. The Cats look to Seniors Landen Stewart and Brandon Doramus to take on the hitting load showing good numbers from their junior years. Doramus with .369 batting average and 17 RBI’s and Stewart with a .339 batting average from the leadoff spot.

The Cats will open the season March 26th at home against The Circle T-Birds.
