Wildcats grab win from El Dorado in first game of season. Fall to Winfield

Coach Jesse Myers and the Mulvane Men's Soccer team have been hitting the practice field for a couple of weeks and their hard work has paid off in game 1 of the 2020 season. They traveled to El Dorado on Monday, August 31st, to kick off the season and came home with a 4-1 victory.

Seniors Caleb Perkins and Ethan McElravy, junior Kelton Boster, and sophomore Jax Gerber all kicked in 1 goal each in the game. Senior Chayton Pfannenstiel, sophomore Chance Brown, and Perkins all statted 1 assist each in the game. The Wildcats defense only allowed 4 shots on goal and senior Jesse Vellota and he blocked them all. The only goal for El Dorado was a self-inflicted score.

The Cats traveled to Winfield on Tuesday, September 1st, and had trouble finding the goal as they were blanked 0-8. 

Mulvane will travel to Ark City next week for the Ark City Invitational Sept. 8-12, and will face Independence, Augusta, and Ark City.

The Wildcats welcomed back Matt Temple as an assistant coach for the 2020-21 season. Matt was a 2016 graduate from Mulvane and was a goalkeeper for Southwestern University for 4 years.
