Freshman wrestler Kammie Schanz made some more history this past week as she was selected to the inaugural girls all-metro team from the Wichita Eagle for the 143 lb weight class. Below is the snippet from the Wichita Eagle website:

Schanz was inches away from a state championship in her first high school wrestling season.

She nearly pinned Pratt’s Livia Swift in the final but ultimately lost 3-2. Her losses to Swift in regionals and state were two of her three losses all season; she finished 30-3.
