The Mulvane boys JV and girls varsity wrestling team traveled to Great Bend on Saturday for the JV meet and the girls varsity meet. "We had a load of victories, one champion, some disappointing losses in the finals, one season-ending injury and at least two athletes who couldn't compete mat-side for every match their teammates had. They're taking good care of each other while most of them learn how to adjust and win." said Coach Kruger.
Senior Josie Russell took 1st place in the 136B weight category with 4 wins by fall. Senior Kaydran Russell took 2nd place in the 123 weight category with 4 wins by fall and a loss by major decision. Freshman Kammie Schanz took 2nd place in the 155 weight category with 2 wins by fall, 2 wins by major decision, and one loss by decision.
