The Mulvane women's basketball team opened up the season with a road trip to Augusta for a non-conference matchup against the Orioles. Points were hard to come by for the Wildcats as they fell to the Orioles 12-43. Junior point guard Kaitlyn Klein lead the Cats with 8 points and Senior Carson White finished the game with 4 points. Junior Haley Hughes and Carson White lead the cats in rebounds with 5 each, junior Haley Chambers finished with 4 rebounds, and sophomore Kamryn Nolan and Klein both finished with 3 rebounds.

The JV team fell to Augusta 23-44, freshman Karlie Kanaga lead the Cats with 9 points. Sophomore Amber Hansen finished with 5 points, freshman Lauren Young added 3 points in the game, sophomore Bennett Cottrell and junior Avery Dillon both finished with 2 points, and freshman Jadyn Stevenson and sophomore Gabby Bauerle both added 1 point each.

The Cats C-team had a couple of rough quarters and fell to the Orioles 13-31. Stevenson lead the cats with 9 points while freshman Karlie Kanaga and April Richards both finished with 2 points each.

The Wildcats will travel to Circle for the opening round of the Thunderbird Classic on Tuesday and will face Labette County with the varsity game starting at 2:30 PM and JV game starting at 4:00 PM.
