The Mulvane Middle School girls basketball kicked off the season at Winfield on Monday, November 4th after a limited number practices due to the split schedule this season. The 7th grade games were swept by the Wildcats while the 8th grade split with 8A and 8B.

In the 7A game, "Olivia Ellis led the team with 13 points. The girls defensive pressure really made the Winfield girls uncomfortable. We also did a great job rebounding and eliminating second chance points. Madi Cunningham led the team with 10 rebounds" said Coach Hansen. Lexi Cunningham finished with 6 points, Rylee Dieker, Kierra Cain, and Madi Cunningham all finished the game with 2 points each.

In the 8A game, "The A team has a lot to work on in practice the next 2 days.  Lost 16-31 which all happened in the last quarter.  They have a 6 foot 8th grader that had all 18 points in the paint.  We need to get more comfortable with the new offense and make a few tweaks.  Just need to get our basketball legs back underneath us" said Coach Banzet. Teagan Garrison and Madison Shaw led the Cats with 7 points each and Ashlyn Alumbaugh had the other 2 points in the game.
