Cats Take Down Rose Hill In Second Game of Senior Night; Fall to Clearwater.

The Mulvane Wildcats Volleyball team hosted the Clearwater Indians and Rose Hill Rockets on Tuesday, September 17th for the final home matches of the season. The Cats celebrated senior night as they recognized the 4 seniors on the team this year. 

Senior Lexie Abasolo is a 4 year letterer who earned All League 2nd Team her freshman year, All League Honorable Mention her sophomore year, and All League 2nd Team her junior year. Senior Carson White is a 4 year letterer who earned All League Honorable Mention her junior year. Senior Callie Humbolt is a 3 year letterer and Senior Emily Hankins is 2 year letterer.

The Wildcats faced off against Clearwater in the first games of the triangular and fell in three games 18-25, 25-19, and 20-25. The Cats grabbed their second win of the season in the evening nightcap as they took down the Rose Hill Rockets in three games 25-18, 20-25, 25-20.

The Cats are now 2-14 (1-3 in league) on the season as they have been plagued with injuries this year. Freshman hitter Emily Schmidt just returned to the court last night after a couple of weeks off with an ankle injury. Freshman libero Karlie Kanaga missed last nights games with a broken finger and Sophomore hitter Addison Whisler went down in the first game against Clearwater with a bad ankle injury and will most likely be out for a couple weeks.

Mulvane will return to the court next Tuesday, Sept. 24th when they will travel to Wichita Collegiate for a triangular with Collegiate and El Dorado.
