MHS - Men's Golf / May 14, 2019 By Kasey McDowell


Coach Kyle Headrick and the Men's Golf Team traveled to Tallgrass Country Club Monday for the 4A Regional tournament. The Cats as a team finished with a score of 411 and finished in 5th place. The Cats were led by Senior Gage Milan who scored a 94 which was good for 16th place followed by Senior Tyler Fox (98), Senior Josh Gerber (108), Senior Isaac Gardinier (111), Sophomore Braden Sweet (119), and Junior Julian Whetzel (119).

Individually, Gage Milan qualified for the 4A State Tournament with is score of 94 and 16th place. Gage led the Wildcats this season with an average of 93.6 per round and his best round was a 79 at Kingman Country Club at the Kingman Invitational. 

The 4A State Tournament will be held on May 20, 2019 at the Quail Ridge Golf Course in Winfield, KS.

Senior Tyler Fox averaged 96.1 per round and his best round was an 89 at Prairie Trails Golf Course in the Circle Invitational. Senior Isaac Gardinier averaged 97.3 per round and his best round was a 92 at Anthony Country Club in the Chaparral Invitational. Senior Josh Gerber averaged 99.5 per round and his best round was an 88 at Kingman Country Club in the Kingman Invitational. Junior Julian Whetzel averaged 100.0 per round and his best round was an 82 at  Anthony Country Club in the Chaparral Invitational.

Mulvane's best finish as a team was a 361 for 1st place at Anthony Country Club in the Chaparral Invitational.
