New Men's Golf coach Kyle Headrick has been working with the Mulvane Men's Golf team the last several weeks and is exciting to get the season started. Kyle has been the Women's Golf coach for the past 2 seasons but this will be the first season as the Men's coach, taking over for long time coach Dave Fennewald.
Gage Milan averaged 97.7 strokes/game last year and his best round was an 88. Josh Gerber average 99.1 strokes/game last year and his best round was a 90. Tyler Fox averages 102 strokes/game last year and his best round was a 99. Isaac Gardenier averaged 107.4 strokes/game last year and his best game was a 93. Junior Tyler Lanzrath averaged 104.1 strokes/game last year and his best game was a 97. Junior Julian Whetzel averaged 105.8 strokes/game last year and his best game was a 97.
"This year we have a really great mix of players, both veterans as well as newer players. Our team is made up of four seniors, three juniors, six sophomores, and three freshmen. This allows us to have a strong Varsity team, while at the same time it allows us to build up young players for the following seasons. Our four seniors (Tyler Fox, Isaac Gardinier, Josh Gerber, and Gage Milan) have been doing a great job of leading by example. It has been great seeing them go out of their way to help mentor the younger players" said Coach Kyle Headrick.

Mulvane Men's Golf will kick off the season at the Andover Invitational at Crestview Country Club with tee off at 1:00 PM.
