The Mulvane Wildcat bowing teams competed in the AVCTL Tournament last Thursday and brought home some hardware. The boys entered the tournament with an undefeated 9-0 record and the points lead for the overall league championship. As a team, the Wildcats finished 2nd place in the tournament with a 2501 series, just behind McPherson (2549). League points were awarded (8 points for first place down to 1 point for last place) based upon where they finished at the meet, so the men's team remained in 1st place and are the league champs for this season.
JD Titus lead the Wildcats with a 682 series (241, 211, 230) and took 1st place in the tournament followed by Gauge Harness (619 - 5th place), Eian Roach (617 - 6th place), Jason Mills (551 - 16th place), Clement Heck (537 - 20th place), and Joel Hileman (457 - DNP).
The JV Boys took 1st place as well with a 2222 series and were lead by JJ Mort (578), Matthew Sharshel (551), Kyle Dugan (510), Nathan May (508), Jacob Napier (457), and Eric Woods (398).
The girls entered the tournament with a 7-2 record and they finished in 4th place in the tournament. With the points awarded from the tournament, the girls finished in 4th place overall in league. The girls were lead by Addy Schiffelbein with a series of 623 (202, 186, 235) and she also took 1st place in the tournament followed by Gabby Human (473), Shyra Herrman (411), Emilija Sikorskyte (394), Patricia Raymer (351), and Taylor Ingram (339).
The JV Girls took 5th place in the tournament with a 1259 series and were lead by Samantha Conrad (370), Serena Schmitz (323), Emily Manning (295), Payton Duggan (271), and Kewa Khadija (194).
The regional tournament will be held on Friday, February 22nd at Wichita-West Acres Bowl. The girls will begin at 10:00 AM and the boys will begin at 1:45 PM. The teams participating in the regionals are Andale HS, Andover Central HS, Cheney HS, *Garden Plain HS, Goddard HS, Goddard-Eisenhower HS, Maize HS, Maize South HS, Mulvane HS, Wichita-Bishop Carroll HS, Wichita-Kapaun Mt. Carmel HS, Wichita-Northwest HS
