Coach Rick Langerot (2017-18 AVCTL D4 Wrestling Coach of the Year) is looking forward to the 2018-19 season. Practice started this week and Coach Langerot got a peek at what the team will look like this season. There are several returning All League wrestlers returning this year as well as some good incoming freshman.
"We have Chadwick Stahl returning who was a state qualifier, and 1st team all-league. Also returning are Seth Dillon (2nd Team All-League) Jaxen Young (2nd Team All-League), Bryson Williams (2nd Team All-League),Ethan McElarvy (Honorable Mention All League),Keon Shanz (Honorable Mention All League), Jon Meek (Honorable Mention All League) and Kyle Smith (Honorable Mention All League). Plus some other returning letterman and some good incoming freshmen. If we work hard and what we should, I look for us to have a good season." said Coach Langerot.
The Varsity Wrestling season kicks off on Saturday at the Campus Invitational at 9:00 AM at Campus High School. The JV Wrestlers will start their season at Wichita Southeast High School at 9:00 AM at the Southeast Invitational.
