Monday October 10 the girls golf team ended their season at regionals in Winfield.
The top scorer of the tournament was Jr. Morgan Mitchell who finished with a 116.
The Tournament was a 9 hour 18 hole final test of the season.
The tournament was delayed twice by lighting and rain.
By the end of the tournament the girls had worked hard, they were tired and they were ready to go home.
“I feel like we all did really good even though we were really tired at the end and ready to go home. We are disappointed no one made it to state, but we still feel like we had a really good season.“ said Stribling
Even though the Lady Cats missed qualifying a golfer for state and were unable to medal it didn’t take away from what was still a growing season for the golf team.
To qualify for state one golfer would have needed to place in the top 15 at the regionals tournament.
“We grew better as a team and I wont be losing any of my girls next year.” said head coach, Paul Howe.
The girls are looking forward to next year and improving even more in the off season.
